As a photographer for The Daily Item, I spend a lot of time driving around the North Shore, going from assignment to assignment.
I’ve come to look at my windshield as a camera’s viewfinder, framing the world around me. It offers the perfect frame as the sunset lights up Lynn Shore Drive and the waves roll across the beaches. It captures all the snippets as I drive through our communities, sometimes prompting me to stop and photograph a scene rather than leaving it to be kept as just a memory.
But the other day it surprised me. I was struck by the way the water droplets had gathered on my windshield during this week’s rain, and I suddenly realized that my viewfinder was now a canvas.
I spent longer than I’d care to admit running my iPhone (in macro mode) up and down my windshield looking for the perfect water droplets. The longer I looked, the more interesting abstracts I found!
I hope you enjoy these abstracts of water droplets as much as I do and remember to pause and take in the little things in life.
