Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has heaped praise on Kai Havertz following his late winner against Brentford in the Premier League.
The Gunners had a tough outing against the Bees on the road and it looked like they were heading for a goalless draw.
However, Havertz had different ideas coming off the bench. The German scored the winner just before stoppage time.
Speaking after the game, Arteta was delighted for the former Chelsea man, who finally scored his first Gunners goal from open play.
The Spanish tactician said that the goal came at the perfect time, he said: “You can see how much they love him and what he brings to the team. [The goal] was at the perfect time and it was perfect execution as big players do.”
With the victory, the Gunners have moved to the top of the Premier League for the first time this season. They are on 30 points.
The north London giants have not been playing particularly well compared to last term, but they have still secured the points.
They host Lens in the Champions League in their next game in midweek before hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers at home.
