Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia won’t be featuring for the club until late December following a knee surgery.
The Netherlands international signed for the Red Devils from Feyenoord last year and he had a positive start to the campaign.
However, he struggled with his form and confidence after the New Year and was one of the club’s poor performers in the end.
It is now revealed that Malacia was struggling with a knee injury last season and he played on for the club with painkiller injections.
It was eventually decided that the left-back should go for a surgery and as a result, he won’t return to action until late December.
Aside from Malacia, Luke Shaw is also on the sidelines with a muscle injury, but he is anticipated to return next month.
United played with Sofyan Amrabat at left-back before the international break, but Sergio Reguilon should be fit this weekend.
Reguilon, who joined United on loan from Tottenham Hotspur over the summer, has had an impressive start to his career.
