The US Attorney’s Office, District of Massachusetts released a statement that Lawrence M. Nagle, 56, from Lynn, has pleaded guilty to counterfeit pill trafficking in association with the DTO.
Nagle is guilty of both conspiring to distribute and also possession with the intent of distributing counterfeit prescription pills.
As part of his conspiracy, Nagle kept counterfeit oxytocin pills containing fentanyl and counterfeit adderall pills containing methamphetamine in his apartment. This conspiracy was also found in association with the DTO.
The statement then further explained that there had been a prior search of Nagle’s apartment back in October 2022, where fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and three loaded firearms were discovered and confiscated.
An announcement was made yesterday on the matter, by Acting United States Attorney Joshua S Levy, Brian D. Doyle., Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration, New England Division, and John E. Mawn Jr., Interim Colonel of the Massachusetts State Police. Neighboring police departments have provided assistance on this matter as well.
The statement ended by stating that this is an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDEF) operation, which is meant to obstruct high-level criminal organizations that threaten the country. Any additional information about this program can be found at https://www.justice.gov/OCDETF.
