Arsenal are currently prioritising the transfer of Declan Rice from West Ham United, but a deal is still uncertain.
With Manchester City entering the pursuit, the north London giants may consider Barella as a possible summer alternative.
Similarly, Man United could turn their attention to the former Cagliari man if they can’t get a deal over the line for Mason Mount.
