Arsenal have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Belgian wonderkid Arthur Vermeeren, according to HLN.
The Belgian teenager has made a huge impression for Antwerp over the past year and he has been likened to a young Xavi.
Barcelona are already admirers of him and they recently tracked him in the Champions League group game vs Antwerp.
It is now reported that Arsenal as well as United are keen on the youngster, who is a defensive midfielder by trade.
Vermeeren has been touted for a bigger challenge away from Antwerp and it could happen as early as next summer.
The Belgian outfit are likely to command at least €25 million for the teenager, who has a huge career ahead of him.
Arsenal currently have Declan Rice, Thomas Partey, Jorginho and Mohamed Elneny for the number six role.
However, Jorginho and Elneny could leave next year while Partey also continues to be linked with a move to Saudi.
There could be a major midfield overhaul next summer and Vermeeren could be one of those heading to north London.
