Arsenal are reportedly in the front seat to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi at the end of the season.
The Spain international has resisted the temptation to leave his boyhood club over recent years, but he is likely to move on this summer.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has a big admirer of him and Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Gunners are currently favourites alongside Bayern Munich.
Juventus have also been following him, but the Serie A outfit are unlikely to compete with the duo financially for his services.
The Bianconeri are willing to pay the asking price of around €50m, but they prefer to pay the amount over several seasons.
In comparison, both Arsenal and Bayern can afford to pay most of the sum up front. This is something Sociedad would prefer.
Zubimendi is reportedly aware of the interest from the Gunners and the club should be optimistic of landing his services ahead of Bayern.
